Latest home sale numbers encouraging

The Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors (MIBOR) released its latest housing data for central Indiana, and Boone County may be the only one with positive news to report.

In a 3-month period ending July 31, Boone was one of only four counties in MIBOR to report a positive trend in properties sold, with a 4 percent increase from the same period in 2008.

We'll talk with a local real estate agent and Boone County EDC executive director Dax Norton.

Chamorro appears in court Barney Chamorro has been formally charged in the triple murder in Whitestown last Thursday. The seven felony charges include three counts of murder, burglary, robbery, theft and auto theft. He appeared in court at 11 a.m. today. Boone County Superior Court II Judge entered in a preliminary not guilty plea and set future court dates.
