The second-ranked Zionsville girls swim team started off the season on a high note Tuesday night, Nov. 13.
The Eagles won nine of the 12 events and defeated Noblesville 113-73.
“They swam really well,” Zionsville head coach Scott Kubly said of the girls. “I was really happy with a lot of our swims. We are starting out a lot faster than we were a year ago which is a good thing. We just want to keep building on what we did tonight. There is still a lot of things that we saw that we definitely could improve on, but that is the beauty of a dual meet.
“That is the nice thing we could work on.”
Kubly said he was a little surprised about how quick the times were, but not fully.
“For me personally, I haven’t seen them swim in a meet since last February,” he said. “Being able to see that tonight was really good. But we have a lot of kids that swim all year round and just some of the things that those kids do — like tonight their turns were really incredible tonight — that is nice to see.”
Zionsville got four wins apiece from Alex Cleveland and Taite Kitchel.
