Zionsville —
In a game that was not offensively challenged on either side, the Tri-West girl’s basketball team defeated visiting Zionsville 69-58.
“It was a great win,” said Tri-West coach Brad Acton. “We talked before the game that we know that Zionsville is a physical, aggressive team…We knew that it was going to be a hard fought, physical game and that we were going to have to match that. I was really pleased with our rebounding and out toughness on both ends.”
The Bruins (8-2) got off to a quick start, beginning the game on a 9-4 run.
That propelled them to a 19-10 advantage after one quarter and a 30-24 lead over the Eagles (2-7).
