— Both the Zionsville boys and girls cross country teams came home with titles Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Southport Invitational.
The boys team won with a team score of 37. Brownsburg was second, scoring 61.
Mason Herhusky led the boys with a fourth place finish in a time of 16:48.2.
Zionsville also had the next two spots in the order. Adam Corya was fifth in a time of 16:49.5 and Max Gernhard was sixth in a time of 16:53.5.
Max Leeds had a top-10 finish, placing 10th in a time of 17:05.6. Brian Rice was the final scoring Eagle, placing 12th (17:08.8), one spot ahead of teammate Logan Winters (17:13.4).
The final Eagle runner was Andrew Brake, who placed 20th in a time of 17:22.6.
The Lady Eagles were even more dominant, scoring a team score of 26.
Brownsburg again placed second, with a team score of 79.
