Judd gives Eagles senior night victory

Indianapolis — Even if it was just for one night, Parker Dunshee can say he played a minute of basketball this season.

Dunshee — who injured his ankle in the final game of the football \season — started and played the first minute Friday, Feb. 22 in the Eagles’ senior night game against McCutcheon.

More importantly, Dunshee enjoyed watching from the bench as his fellow senior classmates pulled out a dramatic 45-44 victory over McCutcheon.

“These seniors deserve a win like this on a night like tonight,” Zionsville head coach Shaun Busick said.

Zionsville’s defense proved critical down the stretch, converting a three-point deficit into four-straight points to seal the victory.

Holding a 44-41 lead, McCutcheon was unable to break Zionsville’s press and was forced into an ill-advised pass that led to a bucket by Dalton Judd with 12 seconds left on the clock. After McCutcheon’s Tre’Shon Heard missed the front end of the free throw bonus, the Eagles  pushed the ball to Judd, who drove to the basket for the game-clinching layup at the buzzer.
