The Class 2A No. 7 Zionsville Lady Eagles soccer team looked to carry some momentum from this past weekend when it faced No. 2 Hamilton Southeastern Wednesday night, Sept. 5.
Unfortunately for the Eagles, it wasn’t to be the case. The Royals scored the game’s lone goal with 11:56 remaining and the Eagles fell to 7-3 on the season with a 1-0 loss.
“I thought we played better in the second half,” Zionsville head coach Ramon Aguillon said. “I thought in the first half wasn’t our best; it took us a long time to get into the game. But once we did, we were right there and the girls played with a lot of effort and energy. Unfortunately we gave up that goal in the final 15 minutes of a conference game.”
