The No. 9 Zionsville girls golf team knew they were in for a tough challenge Monday afternoon, Aug. 27, at the Hoosier Crossroads Conference Tournament at Bear Slide.
With four teams ranked in the top-10 in the state, there was little margin for error if the Eagles wanted to win the conference title.
Unfortunately for the Eagles, they had a few too many errors and placed fourth with a 347.
“I am kind of stumped right now,” Zionsville head coach Jeff Anderson said. “We have been in a funk the last couple of rounds. Our target number today was 332. We did well on the backside, which was our first nine today, but once we made the turn, it kind of fell through at that point.”
