In a game where neither team seemed to be able to score, the Eagles got it going first in the second half and were able to hold off the Raiders on Jan. 11.
Zionsville defeated Harrison at home 45-31.
Senior Scotty Peñola led the Eagles with 16 points and seven rebounds, while senior Andrew Dakich added 11 points and 10 assists.
Dakich said this was a big game for the team’s confidence.
“It was really big,” Dakich said. “Losing two games (in a row) is never good. And I don’t know when the last time we started .500. This was a big win for us. Harrison is a good team.”
The game started out fairly well as the Eagles finished the first quarter up 9-6.
And that is when the lid was placed on top of the basket. The second quarter ended in a 12-12 tie.
