The Zionsville and Zionsville West middle school teams had very successful fall seasons.
Below are the highlights:
ZMS
The seventh-grade volleyball team won the Northwest Suburban Conference Championship and the Tecumseh Invitational; the eighth-grade volleyball team won the Northwest Suburban Conference Championship and the “Battle for the Nest”; the eighth-grade football team won the “Battle for the Nest” and finished second in the Northwest Suburban Conference with a 6-2-1 overall record; the seventh-grade football team finished second in the Northwest Suburban Conference with a 7-2 record; the girls cross country team won the Northwest Suburban Conference Championship; the boys cross country team won the Boone County Championship and finished second in the Northwest Suburban Conference Championship; the boys tennis team won the Boone County Championship; The girls golf team won the “Battle for the Nest” and finished second in the Northwest Suburban Conference Championship.
Z’WEST
The seventh-grade volleyball team finished second in the Northwest Suburban Conference Championship; the seventh-grade football team won the Northwest Suburban Conference Championship with a 8-1 overall record; the girls cross country team won the Boone County Championship; the boys tennis team won the “Battle for the Nest.”

The Zionsville boys golf team knew they were going to have to play one of their better rounds of the season Friday, June 7, at the Lafayette Jefferson Regional to qualify for the state finals.

Hargrave continues to shine at national level
Since she was 3 years old, Zionsville resident Madison Hargrave has participated in gymnastics.
Now, she is continuing to show she can compete with some of the top gymnasts in the nation.
Hargrave, 16, competed at her second-straight Junior Olympic Nationals Meet in Minneapolis Saturday, May 11. -
Track seasons conclude at state
The 2013 high school track and field seasons came to an end Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1 at the IHSAA State Finals.

Eagles place second at sectional, advance to regional
The Zionsville golf team did what they had to do Monday, June 3, to advance to the regional.
The Eagles shot a team-score of 304 in the sectional at the Golf Club of Indiana, which tied Westfield for the top score. Zionsville placed second because Westfield had a better fifth-golfer score. -
Carmel tops Zionsville in lacrosse state semifinals
The 2013 lacrosse season came to a screeching halt for the Zionsville boys lacrosse team Friday night, May 24 in the state semfinals.

Greyhounds race past Zionsville 11-1 in sectional opener
Last season the Zionsville Eagles came within three outs of advancing to the IHSAA Class 4A baseball state championship game.
