— The seventh-ranked Zionsville Lady Eagles soccer team dominated in nearly every way possible Wednesday evening, Sept 19, in its senior night match-up with Harrison.
The only aspect they didn’t was the one that matter the most — the scoreboard. Zionsville out-shot Harrison 18-1 in the match but were forced to settle for a 0-0 tie.
“The girls are pretty frustrated,” Zionsville head coach Ramon Aguillon said. “We have had three games in a row like that. We played well; we created a lot of chances, we just got unlucky. I think we have hit a string of bad luck in scoring; that happens sometimes, and our main goal is to get ready for sectional.”
The Eagles have scored one goal or less in their last seven games. They haven’t scored more than two goals in a game since the second game of the season.
Wednesday, Aguillon said the girls were pressing when they were getting into the final third.
