Ball State students named to summer dean’s list
Four Boone County students were named to the summer dean’s list at Ball State.
They are: Ceara Booher and Bridget Dies of Lebanon, Betsy Godby of Sheridan and Scott Edlin of Zionsville.
Local students graduate from BSU
Several Boone County students have been awarded degrees from Ball State University.
They are: Jennifer Bell (BS) of Jamestown; Robert Brooksby (BA), Nicholas Westerfield (BA), Marc Hollingsworth (BS) and Wesley Mock (BS) of Lebanon; Heather Sinn (BS) of Thorntown; Nicole Fraga (BA), Haley Lohss (BS) and Thomas Kixmiller (MA) of Zionsville.
Local resident enrolls at Tufts University
Sarah Schiferl of Zionsville has enrolled at Tufts University as a member of the Class of 2013.
“Drawn from 15,041 candidates for admission, the 1,313 members of the Class of 2013 are an exciting collection of academic and personal achievement,” said Lee Coffin, dean of undergraduate admissions.
Local student joins leadership summit
Kelsey Vandeventer has been named a participant in the 2009-10 University Leadership Summit at the University of Kentucky.
Up to 100 students are selected annually to take part in a year of leadership development, networking and opportunities to create positve change on campus. She is a junior at the University of Kentucky majoring in Integrated Strategic Communication. She is currently serving as UK101 Peer Facilitator and as Recruitment Vice President of Alpha Delta Pi. She is a 2007 graduate of Zionsville Community High School. Her parents are Jack and Nancy Vandeventer of Zionsville.
