Students attend student leadership conference

Pictured are several student athletes from Zionsville Community High School, Zionsville West Middle School and Zionsville Middle School who attended the IHSAA Ninth Annual Student Leadership Conference on Tuesday, June 19, at Plainfield High School. One of the largest conferences of its kind in the nation, a total of 850 attendees entering grades 10 through 12 and representing 93 different Indiana high schools registered to participate at this year’s conference. They had the opportunity to meet and interact with one another, hear from several speakers, both national and local in scope, and participate in three different breakout discussion sessions covering more than 30 wide-ranging topics, including sportsmanship and philanthropy, college preparation, mental toughness, proper eating and hydration, hazing, working with the media, and careers in sports.
