Zionsville girl scouts filled the produce area of Marsh at 106th Street and Michigan Road Monday night, meeting in a flash mob at 7:12 p.m., the time and date that Juliette "Daisy" Gordon Low assembled 18 girls from Savannah, Ga., to form the Girl Scouts on March 12, 1912. The flash mob was the idea of Kristen Shepard, Lauren Phillips and Cally Sampson, members of Troop No. 324 at Zionsville Community High School. The girls recited the Girl Scout Promise and then danced to "Celebrate" by the Commodores. Sampson (left) and her mother, Sarah, wrote the routine and led the dancing. Girl Scouts of Central Indiana Chief Operating Officer Cathy Ritchie was on hand for the event. "Isn't this amazing?" she said. The flash mob was a kick off for the 100th anniversary celebration leading up to a "Rock the Mall" event in Washington D.C. in June, which should include more than 200,000 girl scouts, Ritchie said.
