I found myself in the grocery store on New Year’s Day, and as I was leaving, it occurred to me that the entire store atmosphere was that of a hangover.
I would be willing to bet that more than a few of the employees were nursing a hangover. Then I thought, hey, there are national everything else days, Jan. 1 should be national hangover day.
There are always helpful lists this time of year for hangover cures. None of them actually work, but I did learn one helpful thing from WebMD. Their hangover information included advice not to take acetaminophen because it is processed by your liver, which is already having a tough day processing the alcohol you just consumed.
See Wednesday's paper for the full story.
