Mr. Marcus Andrew “Marc” Davis, 24, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at his residence.
Marc was born Dec. 28, 1987, in Lebanon. He was the son of Curtis D. and Alana G. (Dulhanty) Davis.
He resided east of Lebanon and attended Zionsville Community High School, where he graduated in 2006. While in school, he wrestled and played baseball. He was a senior at Ball State University. His interest was in the social sciences, and he was preparing for a career in social work.
Among his interests were 4-H, rugby and he was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He completed 10 years as a Boone County 4–H member. He was distinguished for his mental attitude as a wrestler as he was awarded the Bill Arnold Mental Attitude Award, and he also was honored as recipient of the Eugene Wagner Wrestling Scholarship.
Survivors include his parents, Curtis D. and Alana G. Davis of Lebanon; two brothers, Aaron M. (Kristen) Davis of Indianapolis and Austin D. Davis of Lebanon; three sisters, Dana L. (Shane) Wagner of Zionsville, Jayna L. (Ryan) Wagner of Zionsville, and Kalene A. Davis of Lebanon; maternal grandmother, Katha Dulhanty of Lebanon; paternal grandparents, Wilma and Ken Smoker of Gaston; six nieces and nephews, Bri Wagner, Taylor Wagner, Alivia Wagner and Abigale Wagner, all of Zionsville, and Eli Davis and Ayden Davis, both of Indianapolis; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Myers Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Harlan Kincade officiating. Interment followed at Mts. Runn Cemetery in Boone County.
