Peggy Jean Dale of Zionsville

Peggy Jean Dale, 87, passed away on Sunday, June 10, at Zionsville Meadows.

Peggy was born on Oct. 13, 1924 in Brownsburg to the late Russell and Irene Ward.

She attended BUtler University and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Peggy and her husband, Landis, were married 59 years when he passed away in 2002.

Surviving Peggy are her daughters Landa (Trippe) Matthews of Carmel; Kendra (Christopher) O’Leary of Mentor, Ohio; Patia (David) Olson of Oxnard, Calif.; and Dedra (Gardner) Box of Plant City, Fla.; sister-in-law Ellavon Stormes, grandchildren Devon Matthews, Dr. Brent Matthews, Darci Longest, Alyson O’Leary, C.J. O’Leary, Courtney Heckler, Kiley Heckler, Colton Box, Lindsey Box and eight great-grandchildren.

A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
