Study Weighs Economic Impact of Air Power

Airport’s economic impact ranks fourth

Zionsville — A study by the Aviation Association of Indiana shows the economic impact of Indiana airports, and Indianapolis Executive Airport is near the top of the list.

Indianapolis Executive Airport comes in fourth in the regional airports category, providing an output of $430 million of economic impact to the area. The airport trailed Warsaw Municipal Airport, Columbus Municipal Airport and Huntington Airport.

Andi Montgomery, co-owner of Montgomery Aviation, who is the operator of the airport, said the results of the study were huge to show how much of an impact the airport has.

“It really goes to show that the airport is a gateway to the community,” she said. “It is responsible for jobs and economic impact in all of our communities.”
