Libraries name United We Read book

The three Boone County libraries will offer several programs next month to talk about this year’s United We Read book, “The Other Wes Moore” by Wes Moore.

United We Read is a county-wide event where interested residents of the community read the same book and then come together for discussion.

Lisa Stamm, adult programs librarian at the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library, said the book is about two people who have the same name and grew up in the same town and how different their lives turned out to be. One is a Rhodes Scholar, decorated combat veteran, White House Fellow and business leader.
