Plans for a proposed FedEx Ground Distribution Center in Zionsville will be discussed during the next plan commission meeting.
The commission will be able to vote on the plans for a proposed 300,000-square-foot facility during its Monday, Sept. 17, meeting.
“The Plan Commission is considering for approval two parts,” Wayne DeLong, director of planning and economic development, said. “The first part is the plat, the lots. The second part is the development plan, which would force the developers to adhere to the town standards or ask for waivers if they can’t. It may take more than one hearing to approve those pieces.”
According to documents filed with the Planning Department, the proposed distribution center will have five buildings on nearly 44 acres. The proposed site sits on the south side of old 106th Street between Zionsville and Michigan roads and is bisected by Bennett Parkway.
