After two years of planning, students at Zionsville West Middle School and Zionsville Middle School will have their first electronic day on Tuesday, Oct. 2.
The e-day is the first of six this school year. Other dates are Tuesdays, Nov. 6, Dec. 4, Jan. 15, March 19 and April 16.
Kris Devereaux principal at Z’West and Sean Conner, ZMS principal, have been working with teachers to create a smooth transition for teachers and students.
Devereaux said the e-day is not a program or teaching lesson but a continuation of what happened in class the day before. The e-days will be offered on Tuesdays because the students will be in school on Mondays and again on Wednesdays.
“Students will be able to access lessons, instructions, notes and resources,” she said. “It would be a video where teachers give a lesson or if they are in the middle of a writing project, they would work on their own and share it for peer editing.”
