The Zionsville location of Tuchman Cleaners is facing a lawsuit for race discrimination.
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed the lawsuit against the cleaners on Sept. 25 for failing to promote an employee based on race.
Tim Stickler, the lawyer representing Tuchman Cleaners, said the company is fighting the lawsuit.
“It is because of our commitment and pride that we refused to settle this employee’s claim for an insignificant amount of money and instead will vigorously defend our principals and this lawsuit in court,” he said.
