Another section of the Farm Heritage Trail in Boone County could be filled in, if the county wins a grant to buy 18 acres between Whitestown and Zionsville.
The land is west of CR 800 E, at the intersection of an existing trail, said County Commissioner Marc Applegate.
“I haven’t been on the property,” Applegate said. “I understand it’s just really nice, with a lot of rolling terrain, a lot of trees and a meadow.”
The commissioners have agreed to seek a grant from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources to buy the land.
