The Zionsville Economic Development Strategic Plan may finally be done after 18 months of work.
The plan is up for adoption by the town council during its Tuesday, Sept. 4, meeting.
The plan received a favorable recommendation from the Plan Commission during its Monday, Aug. 20, meeting.
“Most people have been largely in favor of the plan,” Town Manager Ed Mitro said. “There have been some things, such as multi-family housing, that have had a general lack of desire to have. The plan actually reduces the amount of multi-family housing in the (1,000-acre southeast quadrant of Zionsville) study area.”
Councilwoman Susana Suarez said she would like to see a review of what the council’s responsibilities are in the plan.
