Zionsville — The Village of Zionsville serves as a center for many community activities throughout the year and is the host for several mom and pop shops, and Zionsville’s director of planning hopes to keep it that way.
Wayne DeLong, the town’s new director of planning, said that Main Street has a 90 percent occupancy rate for commercial and retail business.
“Obviously, that’s pretty high,” he said. “We do like to have some vacancies to give businesses the opportunity to expand or move around or another business to come in and expand.”
