ZFD rescue truck collides with semi

No estimate yet on damage to department vehicle

Zionsville — Zionsville Fire Department’s Rescue 91 was at the scene of an early evening crash on Interstate 65 Tuesday, Dec. 4, when it was involved in an accident.

Rescue 91 was on the first accident scene just after 6 p.m. at the 128 mile marker on northbound I-65 with other rescue crews from the Zionsville and Whitestown fire departments.

The unit was involved in a crash with a semi at the 130 mile marker southbound, at about 6:20 p.m. The fire truck sustained heavy front end damage, according to a radio dispatch.
