Zionsville —
This year saw the beginning of three entities all fighting over annexing different areas of Worth Township.
Zionsville and Whitestown both want to annex an area of the township east of County Road 650 East while Lebanon and Whitestown are at odds over the western portion of Worth Township.
Zionsville announces plans
Officials from Whitestown and Worth Township drafted a reorganization plan, which was defeated during the general election, Nov. 6, 61 percent (1,120 votes) to 39 percent (716 votes).
The Zionsville Town Council had a special meeting to begin the process of annexing a portion of Worth Township the following morning, Nov. 7.
