The Village Clock Shop’s 40 years in business is giving Main Street cause to celebrate.
The shop, 5 N. Main St., will be sharing their 40th anniversary with a huge sale in July.
“Everything is extra discounted, on top of that discount, the customer who purchases their first item will get an additional 10 percent off that one item,” owner Andy Brogden said.
This sale is not just on certain items. Brodgen said that everything is discounted.
“Everything is on sale from grandfather clocks to cuckoo clock to wine cabinets,” he said.
Being Indiana’s oldest and largest clock shop makes having 40 years under their belt more special, he said.
“We have seen a lot of changes on Main Street,” Brogden said.
Some of those changes Brogden said have been the transformation of Main Street into an artsy town.
“We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go, there has been a big mix in retail during the years,” he said.
During all of the changes, The Village Clock Shop has added a few mixed furniture pieces like poker tables, wine cabinets and home accessories, but that is where the changes stop, Brogden said.
“We like that our customers are like friends, it’s nice to see people bring their kids and grandkids into our shop. It’s like a tradition,” Brogden said.
The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Visit www.villageclockshop.com for more information.
