Meet the contestants

Hundreds of people from around Indiana gathered for the Miss Indiana Parade on Saturday, June 27.

The 2008 Miss Indiana Megan Meadors sings the national anthem to open the parade down Main Street.

Erika Schilling, 12, of Zionsville met Miss Fort Wayne Jessica Butler during an autograph session Saturday, June 27, at Nana’s Village House. Each contestant signed autographs at a different Zionsville business.

This was Butler’s third year in Zionsville for the Miss Indiana Pageant, and she said the camaraderie among contestants has been special this year.

“It’s always been fun, but this year the girls have really bonded together,” Butler said. “We’re all having the time of our lives.”
