Brown-Denes to wed

Advance — Dr. Darron and Mrs. Myrene Brown of Zionsville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Calla Brown of Rochester, N.Y., to Bela Denes of Rochester, N.Y. He is the son of  Jane Denes of Springfield, Ill., and Dr. Bela Denes of Laguna Beach, Calif.

 The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Zionsville Community High School. She attended Columbia University, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador.

The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School in St. Louis, Mo. He attended St. John’s College in Santa Fe, N.M., and completed a post-baccalaureate pre-medical program at Johns Hopkins University. 

The bride-elect and bridegroom-elect are currently fourth -year medical students at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, N.Y., where they met, and recently returned from an International Year-Out Fellowship in El Salvador, Central America.

The couple plans a June 2011 wedding at Traders Point Creamery with the Hon. Danielle Sheff officiating.
