McNelly - King
Rod and Karen McNelly of Zionsville, and David R. and Karribeth Bomberger of Bloomington, announce the engagement of their daughter, Meredith Brooke McNelly, of Bristol, Va., to Michael Travis King, of Bristol. He is the son of Stephen and Kathy King of Hiawassee, Ga.
The bride-to-be earned a bachelor’s of science in sports management from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville. The is employeed as staff accountant for Accounting Information Consultants and is taking classes to be eligible to sit for CPA exam.
The bridegroom-to-be works full-time at Bristol Virginia Utilities.
The couple plans a June 1, 2013, wedding at The Point Resort on Douglas Lake in Dandridge, Tenn. Pete Owens will officiate.
The couple met in Knoxville, and got engaged on Panama City Beach in Florida on Aug. 3, 2012. The couple lives in Bristol, with their two dogs, Dixie and Sadie. King is a die-hard Georgia Bulldogs fan, and McNelly is a die-hard Tennessee Volunteers fan, but they both share a love for football, NASCAR and cooking.
