Alonso-Lauer to wed

Zionsville — Dr. Robert Alonso and Dr. Deborah Givan of Zionsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Annemarie Christine Alonso of Zionsville, to Benjamin Thomas Lauer of Indianapolis. He is the son of Dr. Thomas Lauer and Dr. Karen Bumb Lauer of Indianapolis.

Annie is a 2005 graduate of Zionsville Community High School and a 2009 graduate of DePauw University. She is in her final year of law school at Indiana University School of Law- Indianapolis and hopes to work in public interest or government.

Ben is a 2004 graduate of Pike High School and 2008 graduate of Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. He is employed at Rolls-Royce as a mechanical engineer.

The couple plans a Sept. 2, 2012 wedding at Snow Moon Ranch in Maple City, Mich.
