Former Whitestown Utility manager Kevin Servies has accepted a plea agreement on multiple counts of sexual battery involving two town employees.
A jury trial was to have begun at 8:30 a.m. Monday in Superior Court I, but was canceled after the plea was filed. Judge Matthew Kincaid has 30 days to review the plea and decide whether it will be accepted or rejected.
Servies has admitted to two counts of misdemeanor battery; he had faced those and four counts of class D felony sexual battery and one class D felony count of criminal confinement. He would serve a suspended three-year sentence under one count and 180 days each on five other counts; all sentences would be concurrent.
The town fired Servies on Oct. 11, 2011; in May 2012, Jason Lawson, who had be interim utility manager after Servies was fired, was officially given the job.

Lebanon Police Det.-Capt. Maurice Hobson searches the front yard at 2110 Crimson Lane, Lebanon, where Juventino Salinas Garcia received what were described as “severe” stab wounds to the neck just before 1 p.m. Monday, May 13. Police said Garcia was taken to Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. A woman was being questioned by police, Hobson said. According to police reports, Clada Garcia called 911 saying that she was in a vehicle in front of the home in the Hickory Meadows subdivision. Her husband had hurt her, she said, and was threatening to injure himself. The injured man was identified as Juventino Salinas Garcia in a press release issued by LPD Monday afternoon.
