Investigators have a person of interest, and are looking for a suspect, in an arson fire Tuesday evening, Sept. 18, at the former Quality Inn on Ind. 39 in Lebanon.
Jason D. Jones, 62, 441 W. Elm St., Lebanon, was charged with burglary and theft after police found him walking out of the building, according to a police report filed by LPD Patrolman Kevin Allen.
Investigators determined the fire was deliberately set, but Jones is not considered a suspect in that crime, Lebanon Fire Chief Jason Lee said Friday.
“It was not a fire-related arrest,” Lee said. “He was on the scene; although he’s a person of interest, we’re still looking for another suspect.”
