Hillenburg’s celebrate 60th

Richard Lee and Arlene (Sunderman) Hillenburg of Zionsville celebrated their 60th anniversary Jan. 11.

The couple was married at the bride’s home in Crawfordsville on Saturday, Jan. 11, 1953. The Hillenburgs started their married lives in Indianapolis, then spent 20 years in Fort Wayne, before moving to Zionsville in 1986.  

Mr. Hillenburg is retired from Altex-Mar of Westfield. He previously worked  for Graham Electronics for 25 years.

Their children are Cheryl Hillenburg and husband Stan Pennington of Milltown, Vicki Woehnker and husband Richard of  Fort Wayne. Lynn Zahorik and husband Steve of Castle Rock, Co., and David Hillenburg of Tampa, Fla. They have three grandchildren Zachary, Lucas and Claire.

They are members of Zionsville United Methodist Church.

    Mr. and Mrs. Alan Voorhis observed their 60th wedding anniversary Friday, June 22.

    They were married in the United Brethren Church in Warsaw by Rev. Otice I. Uncapher. Their witnesses were Mr. and Mrs. William C. Ellis, of Noblesville.

    The couple was married on June 22, 1952, in West Burlington, Iowa.

    Mrs. James Brother, the Reverand C.W. Richardson, officiated.

    They are the parents of Steven, Rebecca and Robert and have seven grandchildren.
