Gerald and Patricia (Berg) Paton of Indianatown, Fla., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 21, 2009. The couple was married at 1:30 p.m. on June 21, 1959 at Calvary Presbyterian Church in the bride’s hometown of Logansport. Judith Simpson, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor; the bridegroom’s brother, William, served as best man.
Gerald and Patricia owned the Dairy Queen in Zionsville until 1989 when they sold it and moved to Florida. Prior to and during their ownership of the Dairy Queen, Gerald Paton also held various sales positions, most notably with radio station WIBC. Patricia Paton, a registered nurse, worked at local hospitals until the purchase of the Dairy Queen, whereupon she managed the operation of the store.
The couple will celebrate later this summer with their son, Michael (Mari Ann) of Zionsville, and three grandchildren. The couple invites cards and other communication be sent to: 14459 SW Sandwedge, Indiantown, Florida 34956.
